What is sewer jetting?

Sewer Jetting

Even if most people are good about what they let down their drains, over time they are bound to get clogged up. The simple fact is that hair, soap and even the tiniest food particles can build up over the course of a few years or less and back up the whole system. And at that point no household drain cleaner is going to get the job done right.

Sewer jetting is a process that uses water and high pressure to essentially clean the pipes. It gets rid of all the debris that has built up over time and eventually impeded the water flow. A sewer jetter can unclog pipes extending from a person's house to the sewer system or private septic tank. After doing this, there should be a very noticeable difference in the plumbing.

If you think you need to try this to improve the plumbing in your home, contact a professional contractor that deals with these issues. If enough of your neighbors are having similar problems you might be able to get your town or city to foot the bill.
