What is water blasting and what are its applications?

Water Blasting

Water blasting is commonly used in a wide range of fields. For example, most automotive paint shops will have a high-pressure water blasting system since it is one of the most effective ways of removing paint. Power plants will use them for cleaning boilers and other equipment. Other industries use water blasting systems for cleaning tanks and piping.

A water blaster can be used in anything from the building industry to transportation or agriculture. High pressure water blasting is especially popular as a way to remove graffiti, since the alternative is time-consuming and ineffective scrubbing.

Water blasting equipment can reach upward of 42,000 PSI (pounds per square inch) and their price tags stretch into the low six figures. Since the possible applications for water blasting extend into dozens of fields, people in completely unrelated industries could all have valid uses for water blasting. That is what makes the technology so important. More than one field relies heavily on what this technology can do for it.
