Cleaning Gutters Without Making A Mess Of The Yard
You would be surprised at how gross some of the stuff is that comes out of gutters. So it is best to do what you can to be prepared for it and to make sure you have all of the appropriate tools for cleaning gutters. If you have not done it in a while, there is a good chance there will be a lot of muck, debris, leaves and dirty water streaming out of there during the course of your gutter cleaning.
That is why you should place a large empty trash barrel underneath the gutters to catch as much of the falling materials as possible. This leaves less yard cleanup for you to do after the gutters are completely finished.
Once all the debris has been removed you can use the telescoping wand to run water through the gutters until the inside is clog-free and clean. Then run it over the outside to clean there, too. Everything that was caught in the large trash barrel should be dumped into a 50-gallon trash bag. Then double or even triple bag it if necessary to avoid any leaks.
Once you have done that you can use the pressure washer to clean the inside of the trash barrel and then dispose of all the waste. Now the more often you do this the less time it will take and the less of a mess you will have to clean out of your gutters.
