Why is There Water in the Pressure Pump Oil?
If you find water in your pump oil, there are a number of likely causes. Your pressure pump may have blown a pump head seal or a damaged pump head. Watery oil can also indicate that your piston packing needs to be replaced. If water or oil drips from the bottom of your pressure pump, inspect the following pressure washer pump parts: piston packing, O-ring plunger retainer, the oil seal, and the pump head seal. You should also look for a crack in the pump head. If you live in a humid climate you may simply need to change your oil more often, so if you've checked the other possibilities, take the excessive humidity into account before investing in pressure washer replacement parts.
