Pressure Hose Preventive Maintenance
A high pressure hose is sturdy, but not indestructible. To keep it in good repair, choose a water pressure hose rated to endure the amount of pressure needed for the job. High pressure hoses will not last as long if they are constantly pushed to their limits, and it's never safe to use a pressure washer hose hose rated below the minimum PSI for your pressure washer. Proper storage of the high pressure hose can also extend the life of your equipment. Use hose reels for storage prevents twists, kinks, and accidental punctures. You will also avoid needless wear and tear by setting up cones or other barriers to prevent the pressure washer hose from being run over by heavy equipment on the job.
